文型１：ということだ（伝聞）

[意味]〜そうだ / 〜と言っていました。伝聞表現で「～そうだ」や「～と言っていました」よりも少し硬い表現。改まった場面で使われることが多い。

「〜とのことだ」で置き換えられる。

[英訳]I hear thatA hearsay expression that is slightly more formal than '～そうだ' or '～と言っていました.' It is often used in more formal situations.
